After trying several other hosts, this one is definitely here to stay. They oversell a bit, but customer service is fast and the features are excellent.
Had one small downtime for 2-3 minutes in 4 months that I recall.

Good service for the money. I use reseller account and it’s very good, especially for setting up lots of smaller sites (blogs or similar). Never had any real issues with them.

I’ve been using HostGator for several years and have been mostly happy. The customer service has always been fast and I love the online help function (although they may not be able to help with more technical stuff). If you use online help you can choose to have a copy of the transcript emailed to you.
The only thing that you should remember is that although it says “unlimited” domains and subdomains there IS a limit on inodes. Keep an eye on them or you’ll get a warning.

I have been using Host Gator for several years with different domain packages. I have switched between hosts during many of these times, but I am now settling on this one. They have excellent customer service and are quick to announce their presence was needed.

Being in the adult business, it was hard to find a good host that would support adult content related sites and provide me with the space I needed. I had been on the search for the best host (with the best prices of course). Until a friend of mine suggested HostGator. I have been with them for about a year now and would high suggest them! They’re are outstanding not only in the Support deparment, but the hosting department as well!

I have a “Baby Croc” account. My experience is only with Godaddy and Host Gator, but HG, is much better, and obviously, you have more leeway with content. I am totally new at building and hosting sites and blogs, and the ease of use at hostgator is what I like the best. Sure being new I was a bit intimidated with asking a question the first day, but support set my mind at ease, now two months in I actually feel like I have a grasp on everything I need. I wont give it five stars(I will for support), because of my like of comparison, but I will give it four.

We have used HostGator for years for both mainstream and adult sites and have been very pleased with them. I can’t recall any serious problems we’ve had and the customer support has always been very fast and courteous.

I use several hosters, but Hostgator is one of the most reliable hosters when it comes to uptime. I never had any problems with any downtime of my sites. Their recently new HostGator panel is easy in use and with the Fantastico De Luxe you can set up forums, blogs and other useful scripts with a one-click-install. Their packages are cheap and perfect to use if you run a network of websites.
Some negative aspects: uploading files sometimes goed very slow through FTP, support is fast but could be technically better.

Host Gator has been my salvation.
I had two very bad experiences with two hosts prior to them and so far I am very pleased.I am using reseller hosting for lots of small sites, I can either work with them via my reseller cpanel or directly in their own cpanel.
High points for me are:
They accept adult content
They are cheap
24 hour live contact
So far for me 100% uptime
Low points:
A lot of software on Fantastico De Luxe needs updating
FTP often slow
Sometimes you have to try a few different support people before you find one who understands your issue.
Over all 8.5/10 - good enough that I am mpving all my sites over
